History Kicks Off – Inaugural WWPL game to be played

WWPL Second Division prepares for 2021

The Western Washington Premier League’s (WWPL) new Second Division (WWPL 2) will begin league play Saturday, April 24 with six clubs from across the Puget Sound region.

Teams have already begun playing friendlies. Port Townsend’s Northern Peninsula FC played a group of local adult players in an 11-1 Easter Sunday win that was as much about community as it was about soccer tune-ups.

On Sunday, April 18 a 12-noon kick-off will be the historical first kick-off for Northern Peninsula FC as they take on fellow WWPL  opponent Harbor Force (Gig Harbor) a 1st Division WWPL perennial at Memorial Field, Port Townsend, the home of Northern Peninsula FC. This pre-season friendly will be an important tune-up test for the freshman WWPL 2 Northern Peninsula FC as they take on the Harbor Force reserve squad and prepare for their April 24 launch of the upcoming WWPL 2 competitive season.

Join in this historic match, free admission, and the ability to say “I was there!” for the start of the Northern Peninsula FC (NPFC) dynasty!

Free admission! (NPFC supports our community, including the important work of our Jefferson County Food Banks, and we would like you to bring either a canned good for donation or donate some dollars online to help NPFC “Give Hunger the Boot!” THANK YOU!)

The match will kick off at Memorial field in Port Townsend, this Sunday April, 18, at 12:00 pm.

There is limited parking right in front of the stadium but there’s more parking on the red lines indicated below.
